The Hellacopters is one of Scandinavia's biggest and most important bands! In 2018, they visit Bukta exclusively - as the only festival in Norway. The band has been at the top of our wish list for many years and we are extremely proud and happy about presenting The Hellacopters to headline Bukta in 2018.The band has always had a strong standing in the north and performed two famous concerts in the city in 2001 and 2002 - both times the shows were sold out and the venues broke the record in beers sold. The band has given us big, catchy anthems and huge albums - which have been on repeat and a natural soundtrack for many memorable late evenings, parties and festivals. As a live band they were and still are unbeatable! The band's wonderful mix of punk, garage and hard rock has given us many memorable concert experiences and sounds for life. Together with Gluecifer and Turboneger, the Swedes became the actual spearhead in a new movement of Swedish and Norwegian rock bands in the late 90's. The Hellacopter's first album, Supershitty To The Max and Payin 'The Dues, made them a cool favourite on both sides of the Atlantic. In addition to strong studio albums, the band released a flood of fabulous vinyl singles, EPs and other snacks for a dedicated fan base. The Hellacopter's musical and commercial progress continued with High Visibility in 2000, where singeles like Baby Borderline, Hopeless Case Of A Kid In Denial and Toys & Flavors for the posterity have become anthems for the congregation. With By The Grace Of Good in 2002, they climbed to the top 20 on the Norwegian album chart, a testimony to the band's huge popularity in Norway. The Hellacopters made a formidable effort for rock music, focusing on riffs, stadium sized choruses and high-octane energy – on record as well as in concert format. When Bukta celebrates 15 years of rock, beer and seafood, it is both natural and necessary that The Hellacopters headline our first festival day.
