The people have spoken. The people wished for Jaga Jazzist and Bokassa, and today we can announce that – Yes! – they are both coming to Bukta 2020!
We recently saw them live at Eurosonic in Groningen, and the Bukta crowd can really look forward to this amazing live band this summer! Many people will be happy about this, says booker, Isak Harbitz.
It’s also fun to be able to introduce Jaga Jazzist for the very first time to Bukta! In their uncompromising musical universe, absolutely everything is allowed, and there is something wonderfully refreshing about bands that is difficult to categorize. With their unique and cool approach to sound, they give all the instruments the same amount of space, and take us on an epic and hard-hitting journey into the cinematic landscape. In addition to sounding somewhat technical, it is also very dynamic and catchy. Jaga Jazzist is about to release a brand new album – enjoy!
Jaga Jazzist is a cool and exciting band that we are looking forward to present at Bukta for the first time. We are convinced that the band will draw the audience deep into their energetic and experimental musical world. We hope that you’ll enjoy, concludes Head of Booking and Communications, Kristine Marie Børresen.
So far we have announced 11 bands, and there are still 22 names left before the program is complete. Bands will be announced almost every week now leading up to Easter, so you best keep up!
