Madrugada

Madrugada is back! The legendary band played at the very first Buktafestivalen in 2004. 20 years later they are coming back, and what a great anniversary this is going to be!

Madrugada were at their peak when they turned in their years in 2008. But eleven years away from the limelight only served to reinforce the band's status. When the three surviving original members reunited in 2019, to honor their debut album Industrial Silence, they were bigger than ever. Both in and outside the home country.

In 2021, Madrugada released "Chimes at Midnight", according to the band "a true-born child of an exceptionally good mood". The album bears the stamp of inspired songwriter work within the group. The reception of the new album was also impeccable, and was described by NRK as "a redeeming catharsis" after many years of silence". It oozed class and playing joy from a potent band that still has a lot on its heart, and got top positions on the album charts in both Norway, Greece, Germany and Switzerland.
