Everything you need to know before Bukta 2024

Bukta Vors and Bukta Nach

These events require separate tickets. Tickets for Bukta Vors with Cult Member on Thursday, July 18th, can be purchased here. Tickets for Bukta Nach on July 19th and 20th with Diskopunk, Nonne, KOBOL, Kanaan, VIKING_DEATH_TRAP.EXE, and The Fernets can be purchased here.

Bukta for Everyone

Bukta for Everyone is the Buktafestival's free and alcohol-free event, taking place in Telegrafbukta. The event offers a variety of activities that combine local culture with music and culinary delights, and with our partners, we can offer a program packed with both artistic and culinary elements. This event does not require a wristband.

Bus to and from Bukta

There will be free buses to Bukta for Everyone, and routes 33, 34, and 40 from the city center to Telegrafbukta and Tromsø Museum will have increased frequency between 16:00 and 19:30 during the festival. Read more about the bus services here.

Exchange Ticket for Wristband

You must exchange your ticket for a festival wristband or day wristband before you can enter the gates at Telegrafbukta. Note that you must appear in person, and the wristbands must be put on directly. Day tickets can be picked up in advance at Nerstranda Center. Day tickets picked up at the festival area must be picked up for the current day and cannot be picked up the day before (e.g., a Saturday ticket cannot be picked up on Friday).

Opening hours for ticket exchange at Nerstranda Center:

  • Monday to Thursday: 12:00-18:00

Opening hours for ticket exchange at the festival area:

  • Friday: 16:00-23:30
  • Saturday: 16:30-23:30

These items are not allowed to be brought into the festival area

  • Professional recording equipment for sound and image.
  • Knives and other sharp objects.
  • Food and drink, including alcohol.
  • All types of gas cylinders, spray cans, or liquid containing alcohol (perfume, hairspray, etc.).
  • Camping chairs (except those with a "Expectant Mother" card).
  • Glass, bottles, cans, and thermoses.
  • Pets.
  • Umbrellas.
  • Grill equipment.
  • Selfie sticks.
  • E-bike batteries. Bags and backpacks will be inspected at the entrance, and prohibited items will be confiscated. Buktafestivalen is not responsible for confiscated items.

Note: If you wish to bring insect repellent, you can bring mosquito deodorant, mosquito sticks, or pump bottles in plastic containers (not those in gas cylinders).
